2000 (W) Ford Ka 70500 miles.
No tax or MOT.
Looking to sell this for £1,500.
This was purchased from a student in Bletchley.
The car has a problem with losing oil.
It also requires some welding under the front and their seems an issue with the brakes binding
The bodywork seems OK on the whole, but someone has resprayed the bonnet with a tin of touch up spray.
The previous owner told me that they had the car in a garage and they were told it was a worn crankshaft oil seal that was causing the leak.
They also told me that they were sold the car under false pretences and are currently pursuing the garage who sold the car to them.
Work to be done
Given the crankshaft oil seal issue and the fact that it will need welding on the front underside, the easiest option may be to remove the engine and gearbox to effect the repairs.Also given the issues with the oil leak and the fact that the oil itself seems a bit dirty, could consider a partial rebuild.
More will be known after a more thorough inspection of the engine.
Also a full inspection of the brakes will need to be carried out.
